Macarons & Easter Treats

We've been asked lots recently about the best way to make macarons, and we are super excited to share our top tips with you!

Soft and slightly chewy with a delicate shell, macarons are a traditional French cookie, made with sweet, fragrant ground almonds and meringue.

They can be filled with anything you like, including smooth, creamy Belgian chocolate ganache, and silky, indulgent Swiss meringue salted caramel buttercream; our two most popular flavours.


These Easter macarons are the beautiful work of Lavender Macarons. Her Instagram feed is definitely worth a scroll!

We also love Macarons by Monika for her pastel colours and gorgeous photography, and Poeme Macarons for their squidgy close-ups. Yum! 

Macaron Masterclass...


If you'd like to have a go at making your own macarons, Cupcake Jemma's You tube tutorial is a brilliant starting point. 

In it, she covers:

  • The equipment and ingredients you'll need.

  • How to prep for and bake your macarons.

  • Filling and assembling your macarons (the best bit!).

We also recommend:

  • Using a round tip nozzle (a few cm in diameter) to pipe and fill your macarons.

  • Drawing circle templates onto greaseproof paper to help to pipe your macarons evenly.

  • Holding your piping bag vertically to give an even flow of macaron batter.
