INGREDIENTS & ETHOS
We bake exclusively with the very best ingredients available, ensuring our bakes taste as delicious as they look.
To name but a few, we use:
Award-winning Camarosa strawberry, Golden Bulida & Canino apricot, Scandanavian blackcurrant and Williamette raspberry jams
British-grown icing sugar
British and Hampshire milk and cream
Callebaut of Belgium chocolate and cocoa
Fairtrade, organic, award-winning vanilla bean extract
Organic, cold-pressed, raw, virgin coconut oil
Organic, free-range Hampshire eggs
Organic, UK-milled Dove's Farm flour and
Organic, unwaxed Sicilian lemons and lemon curd.
We proudly support organic and local farming and adore being surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside and its sumptuous seasonal produce.
We favour suppliers who support their communities, just as we frequently give back to our own. Find out more in our July 2019 blog post, 'Happy Birthday Scrumptious Bakes'!
Our organic, strong white flour for example is produced by the Leckford Estate, Hampshire, who work alongside the John Spedan Lewis Trust and their research into biodiversity and and natural history.
Similarly, our chocolate and cocoa is supplied by Callebaut of Belgium, whose cocoa is 100% sustainable. A percentage of each purchase from Callebaut funds the community development activities of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation, helping to build self-sustaining farming communities that protect nature and children.
We source our vanilla through Taylor & Colledge, who are fully committed to developing fair, ethical and sustainable vanilla production. They support initiatives across each of their growing communities in the Comoros Islands, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea and Vava'U Tonga. Read more about their projects here.
If you'd like to know more about our suppliers, please contact us for a full list and a comprehensive breakdown of how they give back.
Scrumptious Bakes by Emma is a very proud Wishing Well Foundation supplier. The Wishing Well Foundation organise and fund weddings for terminally ill people, and we are honoured to be a small part of their work.
We are also signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, committing to supporting those who protect our nation with honour and courage and their families. By signing the Covenant, we pledge our support to treat all those associated with the armed forces with fairness and respect.
Finally, in Herriard village, we proudly support the eco-friendly Village Green Tools. Their biodegradable, paraben-free, sustainable, responsibly-sourced products are a delight to use, and we really recommend popping along to see Katie and say hello.
If you are a local business whose values align with ours, and would like to chat about becoming one of our suppliers, contact us here. We'd love to hear from you!
